Bikepacking doesn’t have to be fast or extreme to be meaningful.
My trips are built around comfort, stability, and adaptability, using a Northrock XC00 fatbike and a Marin Stinson 1.
Some rides are overnight. Some are short explorations. All of them are paced realistically.
Rail trails, gravel roads, and light singletrack
Lower daily distances with more flexibility
Racks and panniers instead of ultra-minimal setups
Adjusting routes based on how my body responds
Cycling allows me to explore quietly and deliberately.
The fatbike adds stability and confidence, while the Stinson is about comfort and ease — especially on longer, flatter routes.
Bike setup and upgrades over time
Packing systems that favor comfort
Route planning with physical limits in mind
Honest feedback on gear choices
